Follow-Up Visits

One year after your core SafeStart employee training has been completed, we schedule annual on-site follow-up visits to ensure your implementation is going smoothly and that you will continue to be successful in the long-term.

These visits, normally taking one day per site, allow us to have some dedicated time with the safety manager, the steering committee, supervisors, and the site manager. We also conduct some informal employee interviews during a site tour.

Obviously it is your goal to demonstrate to all areas of the company the value and effectiveness of SafeStart and safety initiatives in general—thus the follow-up visits will begin and end with the Safety Manager. Together we will outline overall objectives, discuss findings and recommendations for improving:

  • employee knowledge level, receptiveness and skills/habits
  • long-term metrics (injury rates, near-miss reporting, etc.)
  • EH&S system integration
  • steering committee activities and leadership support
  • your ability to achieve future milestones

Following the visit, we summarize our findings, discuss strategies and plans and review milestones you should be working toward.

Included Services & Materials

Each client will receive:

  • 1 day of on-site service
  • Pre-and post-visit phone/e-mail communications
  • Detailed follow-up report with summary and recommendations
  • Employee survey data summary charts
  • Basic phone/e-mail support between annual visits
  • Optional on-site consulting/support is available at an additional cost


$750 (USD) per site per year including travel expenses

  • Optional on-site consulting/support (if requested) is charged at regular consulting rates plus travel expenses
